Over 170 middle school girls attended “Expanding Your Horizons”, a science and math career discovery day for middle school girls that was held at Stevenson University on October 3, 2009. Girls met with female science and math professionals to learn about careers in the sciences and engage in hands-on activities. The Department of Mathematics co-coordinates the annual event with SU’s School of the Sciences and the American Association of University Women.
