Sixth and ninth grade students from the REACH! school visited SU for a day of activities in science and math. Here, students engage in an engineering challenge sponsored by the Math Department. Students had to build a straw tower with a cup at the top that would support a tennis ball. Discussions centered around constraints – time, money, materials and design. We all had a blast!
